Ok, so about a month ago I swore I was giving up on this series. Then, like an addict, I slipped. I picked up issue 19 and thought to myself, hmm, this isn’t bad.

I mean sure, the first 15-16 issues of Trinity were bad. But 19 was a moment that I thought, this has some interesting stuff going on here.

Well in issue 23 I think Busiek finally is starting with the payoff.

The story is getting very interesting, and Fabian Nicieza’s art is popping.

I loved the moment with Black Adam (one of my favorite characters in the DCU) and watching Flash basically flip the bird to the JSI was fun.

The idea that the world is trying to find a replacement for the “trinity” is interesting, and I’m looking forward to the coming installments in this story.

So, I guess I’m in for the ride.

Is Trinity another 52? No.

But its getting pretty good.

  1. Good review.  I think you feelings are similar to those of many of the other Trinity readers on this site.  Though, I will say that I think it started getting good around issue 10 and has slipped over the last couple of issue.

I also really enjoyed the Black Adam/Flash show.  That combo vs. JSI would make a fun issue.
