I really dig this book.

I’m a fan of stylish heist crime stories. I’m a fan of witty dialogue. I’m a fan of non-linear storytelling. All of these things are very much on display in THIEF OF THIEVES #1, and frankly, I want more.

This is one of those comics that reads like it could be a TV show, but not like it was written as a TV show that nobody would pick up. But that’s kinda where it comes from, stylistically – and maybe that’s why the art and layouts didn’t wow me, though they work just fine. But maybe simple is sometimes better.

But this is only a small taste of what this series has to offer, I suspect – an introduction of the most effective kind, leaving us knowing what this is but wanting more. Seriously, give this one a shot.
