Let me start by stating I have read the first two books in this series and loved them both. So needless to say I was worried when I picked up this issue. Thankfully I was not let down. Lapham does an excellent job of adapting the novel to the comic format, and Huddleston’s art portrays the building uneasiness of the coming threat while still being light-hearted in the panels with Ephraim and his son. I can’t wait to read the next issue and hope readers who are unfamiliar with the series enjoy it to.
