Well I am sold on this crossover for now, definitely. This issue was so much better than the last couple. The art even improved a little. It still looks a little bland, but not as bland as last month. It seems as if the artist put a little extra practice into drawing faces on to the characters.
The part after the assassin shoots General Zod and he gets pulled back down by the angry mob so they can stomp on him was pretty cool. I didn't think the Kryptonians had it in them. I'm sure everybody already knows about this from the preview so I didn't really spoil anything.
General Zod doesn't day though. They say that he is in a lot of pain so they put him in stasis for the time being, whatever that really means. The assassin gets away so Superman decides that Supergirl and himself should go after the guy. Superman decides not to bring any other members of his military guild with him because he doesn't want to start any turmoil on Earth, which not too surprisingly is where the perp is headed.
Superman sends Supergirl on her way and tells her that he'll catch up with her. He has to go back to his chambers and get his regular Superman suit because he doesn't want to go to Earth wearing his Kryptonian military uniform. I actually found that to be kind of lame, although I'm sure more seasoned Superman fans probably ate it up. I have kind of grown accustomed to Superman's new military outfit over the six months I have been reading this maxi-series. I'm so tired of the whole underwear over the pants look on both Batman AND Superman.
Batman should've went all black ages ago. It's been working fine in the movies since Tim Burton's first Batman feature in 1989!! I know they kind of blend into the darkness a lot more nowadays then in the Golden and Silver ages, but it is so time for him to make the change. Maybe they'll think about that when they bring Bruce Wayne back??
Superman needs a uniform change to stick with too!! They really need to at least update his costume for the times. The circus strongman look just doesn't work anymore. They should try to make him look more like Samaritan from Astro City or something. They would probably sell so many more books with just a simple costume change, and if it doesn't work out, they can always change it back! Come on now, everybody who is a comic book fan knows nothing is ever permanent in the DC Universe. Just something to think about anyway...

No way, Superman is as recognized worldwide as Mickey Mouse and Gandhi. There has never been a reworking of his look that made anything better and never will. Some things just work, like the wheel.
No need for Superman to change his uniform….
