This mini=series has been a fun ride, Bates has taken a seemingly minor change to the Superman Mythos and given us a quite enjoyable story. However, sometimes the ending just makes the story, and this issue is a prime example of just that.

This issue takes a fun what if story and turns it into a story of hope for tomorrow, and a greater destiny. In a very real way, this final issue turns a fun story about what the DCU could be like if, and turns it into well what a story about Superman should be.

This series has used the ever endearing Man of Steel, to remind us of what we knew when we were young, to remind us that heroism is real and we are all capable of it, and with effort, some fast thinking, and a little bit of hope, we all have the potential to have a better tomorrow. This story, to me at least is exactly what a Superman story should be.
