This story lacks the eloquent narration of Lee and Jenkin's Inhumans, or even Silent War... but I want to be clear that I wouldn't have even read those if my interest in The Inhumans was not piqued by this story and Medusa's love, Black Bolt's unadulterated manliness, and the Inhumans' dysfunctional and Darwinian family bond. I can't help but feel the story in this mini overall was a bit rushed (they seemed to take a lot of time getting to the "saving Black Bolt scavenger hunt", only to have it take up so little time), and the art in this last issue was a little bit less crisp than the initial offerings, but I still enjoyed it immensely. I could have done with a preview of a brooding Vulcan at the end as a better way of teasing War of the Kings, but my only other issue was the Black Bolt would never need to punch an enemy. He has powers besides his voice, which at least did get used here with awesome and brutal results. A very fine mini overall, and I will definitely be reading War of the Kings.

Nice review. I also felt that the scavenger hunt section was rushed. How did Triton get through an army of undersea dwellers?
Still, the important stuff was good – the focus on Medusa, Crystal, and Black Bolt was touching.
Yeah, that part really lacked elaboration, but I took it as "I fight with my family lots, and you aren’t nearly as tough as them".
