Things happen.

I’m not checking the little “Spoilers” box so I’m not going to tell you what things, but things happen.

First issues of events have an easier time then the rest of them.  They get to set the boards, reveal all the cools toys and stand back and let the fanboys (of which I count myself as one) gasp in giddy joy.  Civil War, House of M, Infinite Crisis and more all had first issues that made believe that they were the event I was waiting for.  That they would deliver.  And without reviewing those threads, they mostly did.

But they never really lived up to the promise of the first issue.

Things happened and I get the feeling that there’s more things left to happen.  The toys are out of the closet, I’m giddy with fanboy excitment and Bendis has crafted possibly the perfect opening issue for a major summer crossover.

My only complaint?  That I don’t have the trade in my hands now to read.  This waiting is going to kill me, maintaining giddy joy for months on end is hard work damnit.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
