This book was on the line for me this week.  After this issue, I’ve decided to drop it.  Certain things to me in this issue and last issue just do not make sense.

In this issue the fight from last issue continues.  One of the things that confuses me is how Black Terror acts.  He made a pretty clear statement last issue and now has apparently changed his mind.  To me it was disjointed and could have made sense if it was explained a little better.  Also I don’t feel that this issue did anything to really move the story forward.  We just get to see some cool scenes where the heroes start to show back up.

I will say I enjoyed the scenes with Samson and the Devil.  They were both very cool, but not enough keep me buying this book.  Also something I thought was funny is that more then just the Fighting Yank can see The Spectre, er I mean the American Spirit, which I understood when Green Lama saw him, but once again maybe I missed a memo that now everyone can see him.

The other thing that disappoints me about not liking this book is that I love the art.  Carlos Paul I feel needs to be on another book so that I can enjoy his art more.  The Black Terror looked awesome in this issue along with all of the other heroes that in theory should look cheesy.  Sadly though as awesome as this book looks to me, it can’t save me from dropping it.

I was really excited when Project Superpowers was suppose to come out and did come out with issue 0.  Since then it’s been nothing but a let down and a waste of my money.  If you were thinking of getting this book don’t, it’s just something with a lot of star power behind it.  I’ve also made the decision that Alex Ross needs to paint pretty pictures and not write so much.

Story: 1 - Poor
Art: 4 - Very Good
