  1. Wow, I’m kind of amazed to hear that you liked this.  I’m also a fan of the Jonah Hex series, but found this nigh-unreadable.  I do think that the idea of a Lone Wolf & Cub story taking place in the old American West is potentially interesting, but I found Nelson’s writing really basic, and not in the good way that Palmiotti & Gray’s Hex can be basic.

I agree on the evil looking baby, though.  But, then I find most babies evil looking.

  2. Right now I see this as going good or bad.  As most cases with a 1st issue it hard to gage becasue there is only so much you can do to pull in a reader at 22 pages.  I enjoy westerns so I was into this more so than others. This wasn’t the greatest issue ever but I see potential. It could tank or pick up.

  3. Fair enough.  I was just trying to see if there was something in this issue that I was missing, as I have so far steered people clear of it.  But seeing how tired I was when I read my comics this week (49 straight hours of no sleep!), and how we seem to have similar tastes, I thought maybe I’d missed something here.  Sounds like you’re just more optimistic than I am.  😉
