You have to read Bendis books carefully, because he likes to drop little clues about future stories in his writing.  I think he's doing that here.  First, let me say that this issue brings the current story arc to a very satisfying conclusion, as the New Avengers throw down on a manifestation of Dormammu, and Brother Voodoo begins his time as the new Sorcerer Supreme in a quite spectacular way.  The finale also changes the dynamic of Osborne's Cabal and shows that one of the members is looking to shake things up dramatically.  The very end ties into issue five of Dark Avengers with Hawkeye and Mockingbird watching Osborne's interview and possibly points to a more agressive direction for the New Avengers. 

What got me most though was Hellstorm's post-battle assessment.  If what he says about the breaking down of barriers between our world and the demon world is true, then we may soon see a Guardians of the Galaxy-type team for the magical corner of the MU.  This may also point at the next major event- Bendis left more subtle hints about Civil War and Secret Invasion in these pages for years, so I wouldn't put it past him.  I also wonder if Brother Voodoo will be joining the Avengers after his training; I think he'd be a very interesting addition.

On the art side, I like Billy Tan's work on this arc.  I think his line work and Ponsor's coloring really create a sense of the mystical and demonic, which is exactly what this story line needed. The only major complaint, and I don't think the artists are to blame for this per se, is that if the text hadn't said that this took place in New Orleans, I wouldn't have known.  Marvel books usually do a great job of creating a sense of place (just look at this week's Utopia as a perfect example), and I didn't get that here.  No use of landmarks, neighborhoods, street names, buildings, culture, anything; we're just supposed to assume that this takes place in the Big Easy.  That could be a result of Bendis' script lacking such detail, but I would like to think the artists could have done something on their own initiative about this.

Again, a great issue, and it makes me want to see what happens next.
