An action packed issue, this an excellent demonstration of solid pacing. Broken up between one of Morning Glory Academy's faculty giving a lecture and fallout from last issue's betrayal, it makes the book a genuine page turner. Leaving you hanging for a page or two during the creepy lecture just as some peril happens to the students in the main plot.

The story also allows Casey a bit of emotion at the end. It hadn't occured to me that we as readers needed it until it occured, but these kids haven't had a chance to really open up since they got there, with all the freaky things, dead parents and flooding classrooms you would expect them to be freaking out more, so having Casey breakdown really help remind me, oh yeah these aren't superheroes, just exceptional kids trying their best in the situation they've been thrown into.

This is one of the best new series of this year and I look forward to each issue.
