Forget about the endless reboots and games of creative musical chairs that happen in mainstream comics. Some books feel like a genuine revolution, and Moon Girl is certainly one of them. It’s a wild and frenetic narrative, full of both examinations of the role of the hero in society and over-the-top sequences of those heroes in action, doing what they do best. It’s a period piece and a thriller that chronicles the shaping of destinies in a post-war world that is ready to re-imagine itself. It’s fun, it’s thoughtful, and it’s beautifully illustrated. This one deserves your attention, and I can’t wait to see what else these folks have in the works.
