In some panels the art is out of this world. In others it feels a tad rushed. The story is compelling, especially because I have been close to addiction but it’s the use of characters and religious tones that make this book a great read. I also find the over-sized book(Golden Age?) fun to hold and flip through. The final pages are why this isn’t a 5. I love the smile on the tiny Christ’s face but the abrupt stop was jarring.
If you can, pick this up. It has demons, a hand of God and a Crucifix Jesus with one arm. What’s not to like?
