From the incredibly stylistic art of Juan Doe, to the slap-stick humor of Beland’s writing, this issue was just amazing.

Doe portrays Reed and Susan’s powers in impressive fashion, in a way that would do any action oriented FF comic proud; and the romantic undertone and sidestory between the two was real nice, at the same time revealing an interesting part of FF history as well.

The El Vejigante character was intriguing too….curious as to whether he’s like a real Puerto Rican folk hero or something.  Reading this was a great comic book experience overall.

UPDATE:  Saw Juan Doe at the NYCC, complimented him on his work on this book, the guy was gracious and friendly, cool guy.
