I got this book based purely on nostalgia, as back in the 90’s these things were popping up all over the place. I wanted to see if these kinds of books have improved at all over the years in ANY WAY imaginable. I don’t know… even based on the 90’s standards, some of the art just wasn’t as good as I hoped it would be. You’d think that for something that was just full of pinups they’d put more effort into making gorgeous pages. This just wasn’t the case. It still doesn’t beat any of the old Marvel swimsuit editions (like the painted one with Rogue in the Savage Land next to a T-Rex foot on the cover) or the old Wildstorm ones (with Jim Lee, Brett Booth, J. Scott Campbell and Travis Charest making awesome contributions). This issue proves that this kind of book is dead and should just be given out as a freebie.
