Unlike the previous issue, which had tons of setup and momentum, this one just seems to bounce around pacing wise.  Dan Slott makes Eddie Brock the central character and Spider-man is mostly playing catchup.  Slott and Gage clearly had fun writing Eddie’s dialogue, but this story raps things up just a little too quickly.  Art was very solid and benefited from Klaus Jansen inking it.  Despite a big reveal toward the end of the book, this story didn’t really succeed like previous arcs.  Slot must be more excited about Spider Island then this one.
