When I flipped through this book at the shop I thought that the art (by Paolo Rivera) looked sloppy and too rough for a Spider-man story, but once I started reading it the art actually took on a special quality, and by the end I found myself enjoying it.  I was also surprised to find that Rivera’s swarthy-looking Punisher looked “right” by the end as well.

Zeb Wells offered a very different feeling story than what I’ve been getting so far from the “Brand New Day” run, and the Punisher was also a bit unique from his other ongoing appearances, but the dialogue was engaging, Spidey was funny, and there was enough action to keep me highly entertained.
