  1. I loved The Maxx when I was a kid.  I didn’t quite understand it, but damn did I love that book.

  2. Huh, I always spellinged his name Sam Keith, but now I know, and knowing is half the battle!

  3. Cool. i love these friday podcast. it gives me something to listening to during my afterwork run. Thanks Fellas

  4. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Aside from the 90s X-Men cartoon it was Sam Kieth’s version of Wolverine and The Maxx that caught my eye and got me into comics. I have been waiting so long for an updated interview with Sam since most I have found were from the late 80s and early 90s. Thanks again for covering this AMAZING artist/writer/storyteller!!!

  5. I repeat, Batman is NOT gay. Damn reminds me of how they changed Bruce Banner’s name in the original tv series because some producer thought it sounded too gay. This industry has some serious issues sometimes.

  6. Moss chair. Cool.

  7. Great Interview! Watching "The Maxx" as we speak. Reminded of how cool this was!

  8. Avatar photo JFernandes (@jdfernandes) says:

Awesome interview.  That dude’s a character.

  9. Can anyone find the website Sam was talking about in the interview? The one where he posts art and such. samkieth.com is not it and a google search resulted in old dead sights only. Ron, a little help maybe? Thanks.

  10. WOW! We are thru the looking glass here people!

"I have met Alex Ross. And you sir, are no Alex Ross." <<<< Funniest interview line EVER!

  11. i’ve met him at san diego and he was exactly like this. such an interesting guy and by far the best time i had at a con.

ron. how did you track him down? he is very elusive.

  12. Downloaded this when it came out but never had a chance to listen to it until today. GREAT interview, Ron. This was one of the best comics podcasts I’ve ever listened to. Honestly, I’ve only read about 10-15 comics Sam has ever done (Sandman, one or two Batman comics, one Maxx issue, and some Marvel Comics Presents), but based on his artwork I knew hearing him talk would be interesting. It was, and it makes me want to check out more of his stuff.
