I dunno, perhaps I’m the only one that thought this was awful, but the first was just a rehash of the movie with a few little additions. Seriously wtf was the point? Who the hell hasn’t seen the movie, it was total filler. Horrible drawing to boot, most of the time i had no idea who the hell anyone even was. Alas I may pull #2 ‘eh maybe I won’t, it is 3.99 after all …. =/
I don’t think I have enjoyed a TF book from IDW in quite some time but I keep coming back for more in hopes that they will get better. There is also the nostalgia and collector gene that come into play as well. I didn’t mind the TF designs for the flick but they just don’t transfer that well into comics as far as I am concerned. In the same respect that the cartoon/comic book designs were too simple for real life, the movie versions are too complex for comics in my opinion.
I am excited to read the next TF arc from IDW (All Hail Megatron). The concept and preview pages look awesome. Looks like they might be trying something similar to what Devils Due did with their GI Joe WWIII story arc (which is awesome).
