  1. If the art isn’t any better than Man With No Name I’ll drop this quick.

  2. I’m in for one more ish i think. The art was a bit hard to follow at a couple points just because the characters all seemed to look identical. I didn’t read MWNN so i cant compare, but seemed pretty cool.

  3. You know what, I liked this, and I dropped Man With No Name after 3 issues because I just couldn’t take the writing anymore, which is sad, because Gage isn’t a bad writer by any means.  But still, I’ve never really been a fan of Dixon, I find his writing style too simplistic and the fact that he writes way too many books at once makes we wonder how much thought he puts into any of them.  Regardless, this was a good first issue.  I think the change in art from what I had seen in MWNN helped as well, as this felt much more cinematic and made me feel like I was watching a Spaghetti Western.  Dixon’s essay at the end too shows that he has an affinity for the genre, which is good.  I’ll definitely keep checking this out.

  4. @Fvckstick – I totally agree. The art made this impossible to follow for me, especially with the colors of the soldiers uniforms … I didn’t know who was with who.

I liked this more than the few issues of MWNN that I checked out & I’m a huge Chuck Dixon fan so maybe I will try a couple more issues to see if things become clear.

About the art — it was good, my only beef is that the main character looks nothing like Clint Eastwood.
