   Amy Reeder Hadley’s artwork is beautiful and elegant, like the main character.  It is a great book, but it might sell more if Phantom Stranger appeared on more of the covers. The Stranger is a, well, strange and mysterious character, but man he’s got style… and creepiness… but also style.

   What surprises me is that I would think a) DCU fans, b) Vertigo fans, c) Matt Wagner fans, and d) people looking for rising female artist stars would all buy this book.  Instead of the union of these groups, it feels like only the intersection of them is buying!

   Your idea that the Phantom Stranger would help sell the book is reasonable.  What is needed (sadly) is a two-part crossover into a book like Batman, Green Lantern, or Hellblazer to get people to come over and try it.  Do you think Madame Xanadu is just too female?

   This is THE Best book that people are not reading…shame! Fantastic art and stories. This and House of Mystery are knocking it out of the park each and every month….
