  1. Hark! A Buffy Book. Guess the rumors of its demise were greatly exaggerated. (Yes, I know it’s coming back in September!)

  2. I never thought I’d by a Riley one-shot, any port in a storm, something Buffy-related until the series returns.

    A Riley one-shot, what a world.

  3. Will this be collected in the Buffy trades? Or not? So if Buffy is on a break now, does that mean season 9 starts in the fall?

  4. the last (I think) arc is coming up – starting in September. I;m guessing season 9 won’t start for quite a while.

  5. @IroncladMerc I can’t say for sure, but I would assume so – the Willow one-shot a few months ago was included in the trade, and they tend to include any Dark Horse Presents Buffy related things and the like as well.

  6. I think season 8 finishes with issue 40.

  7. This was not good. I was being too generous giving it a 3.

  8. I didnt think it was bad, but I don’t really understand why they are making these one shots and what not, – they already should have condensed the entire "season" down rather than spread it out over 40 issues and a few one offs. Hopefully they learn for the next "season" – which of course I’ll gobble up every issue of.  Buffy is crack to me.

  9. I really enjoyed this issue. Certainly better than the last season 8 arc. Jane Espenson was a good choice for this because she writes Riley really well and her dialogue is great. I thought it should have been part of the regular series and not a one shot though because the conversations between Angel and Whistler seemed kind of important. Great to see Whistler again.
