  3. I thought this was pretty cool. Max Fiumara has a distinctive style, and its surreal qualities went well with this strange tale. The story was very Lovecraftian, even the title sounds like something H.P. would have used, and Mignola and Allie pulled it off nicely. If you’ve been reading Mignolaverse books, and haven’t checked out some Lovecraft, do it now!

    Also, I hope some others managed to snag the Year of Monsters variant, it’s fantastic.

    • Big time Lovecraft fan here. And yep, the variants have been great. Been picking each of them up as they come out. Forgot this one had a variant, but my guy at the lcs reminded me. He’s been offering them to me at cover price, which is awesome!

  4. It certainly was a good issue. Maybe I would have preferred to see more interaction with Hellboy, but I don’t complain.
