All they need to do is have ‘you got the touch’ playing during an optimus prime fight scene and I’ll be happy.

No matter how simple the source material is, filmmakers always feel compelled to change it for some reason. The most basic… I mean… take a video game that only has three basic elements and turn it into a movie, and two of those elements will be missing or changed by the time it hits the screen.

This was probably because VW and Porsche Refused Hasbro/Takara to create a new Bumblebee and Jazz for the binalternators/ Alternator Toy Run.
VW and Porsche with there passed did not want there name on “war” Toys.

There was a Prototype of Jazz as a 911 and designs for Bumblebee as a VW BUG. But they had to be scraped.
Yeah, but what’s to stop them from taking the design from an old 70’s beetle? I mean, how great would that be? I’m not sure you need clearance to use a design from an old car that’s no longer in production. It’s much more likely that in order to get more funding, or just make more cash, the producers signed a deal with Chevy and promised to make a major character be a Chevy. But I don’t know that, or course.

AUTOBOTS: Optimus Prime. Bumblebee (“The same G1 character we always knew and loved…He’s the scout, the one that comes ahead of the Autobots”). Jazz. Ratchet (medical officer/science officer – new form, not an ambulance). Ironhide (“He’s the muscle – a tough soldier…The first one to jump into battle” ).
DECEPTICONS: Megatron (has a Social Darwinist view of humanity – survival of the fittest). Starscream. Brawl (“an extremely pissed off Decepticon. Always ready to jump into a fight, even when the fight isn’t worth it.”) Bonecrusher. Barricade. Scorponok. Frenzy (an infiltrator). Blackout (sends an EMP-style blast to take out electronics, detection devices, etc. in advance of Decepticon attack).

B) If they make those into toys, those toys will break easily and all the small pieces will choke children, and there will be many lawsuits. And, I mean, they will be made into toys.
