USER REVIEWS ARE YELLING!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!  I HOPE IT AS LOVELY FOR YOU AS IT IS FOR ME.  FOR SOME REASON, I CAN’T CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT!  LET US GO OVER THE USER REVIEWS FROM THE WEEK!

CONVOY83 IS TRUCKIN’ ACROSS THIS LAND, AND HE FEELS LET DOWN BY RED ROBIN #3STORY 1 / ART 2

the art quite frankly just feels to heavy. I really feel that under all this heavy color and thick black lines are some very beautiful pencils, but the final treatment of this just feels like this is a book from the third string of dc comics, and that makes me feel sad for Tim as a character because he never really felt like anything less than a first string character to me before.

NEB LIKES ACTION COMICS #880!  HE DIDN’T THINK HE WOULD, BUT HE DOES.  I LOVE SURPRISES!  STORY 5 / ART 4

This issue did an amazing job of adding layers to the already deepening distrust going on between New Krypton and Earth. When people don’t even trust Superman, you know things have gotten really bad. And it’s that feeling that makes these books so compelling to read. At some point, it’s all going to come to a head, and where that will go is going to be so interesting.

AKAMUU THINKS THEY’RE LOSING THEIR HOOK WITH UNWRITTEN #4.  WAS THE STORY NOT ENOUGH?  APPARENTLY NOT!  STORY 3 / ART 4

I don’t know why the creative team has abandoned the creative style they set out with in issue one. I don’t think the comic has gained anything by its absence. But, while it’s lost a bit of visual appeal, and sense of reality, Unwritten is still an intriguing story about truth and fiction. So, while I’m no longer eagerly anticipating the next issue, I’m still curious to find out what Carey’s going to do next.

COMICBOOKCHRIS IS READY FOR DEADPOOL #13 TO THROW OFF THE SHACKLES OF TIE-INS AND EVENTS AND SPREAD ITS OWN RIDICULOUS WINGS.  STORY 4 / ART 4

After 12 issues of tie-in issues, it seems that Deadpool is ready to take off the training wheels of editorily mandated events and ride on his own again. Wade has proven to really shine when left on his own with a competant writer, and Daniel Way seems to fit the bill perfectly. It seems Way usually struggles with his dramatic stories, as they come off as bland and vanilla. Say what you will about these stories, the man has perfect comedic timing and portrays Deadpool’s madcap humor perfectly. It’s a good thing he does, being as this issue was more of a comedy-heavy outing and light on action. In Way’s hands, the jokes are delivered beautifully and helps the story move along.

MAN, MY VOICE IS SHOT!  IF ONLY I KNEW HOW TO STOP THIS INFERNAL YELLING!  OH GOD, PLEASE MAKE IT ALL END.

  1. I am really enjoying the story in Unwritten and still feel the hook is there. JUST PERSONAL PREFERENCE?

I though the art in Red Robin #3 was serviceable, but not excellent. WHY DID CONVOY83 GIVE IT A 5 IF YOU DIDN"T LIKE IT?  I also though the story was excellent. I’m a bit surprised that anyone would give a 1.

  2. THAT WAS A TYPO.  I FIXED IT!

  3. MY EAR DRUMS EXPLODED WHILE READING THIS!!!

  4. OK! NOW IT MAKES SINCE! (though I still disagree.)

P.S. YOU AREN’T USING ENOUGH EXCLAMATION MARKS!

  5. DAMN YOU TYPOA!

  6. TYPED YELLING AND EXCLAMATION POINTS ARE THE LIFEBLOOD OF THE INTERNET!

  7. This makes me glad that we don’t write everything in caps.

    Thanks for highlighting my review!

  8. You know what’s funnier than Shatner yelling "KHAAAAAAAN!"? His face right after yelling it! It looks like he’s clenching to drop a huge deuce.

Thanks for showing my review on here, and for apparantly yelling about it from the top of a mountain! But where were your OMG LMFAO LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL’s?

  9. I wrote my review about an hour after I read the book, it just really let me down. I think maybe after having cooled off I may go as high as a 2 for the story but thats about it. I understand people will disagree, I just felt like they could have explained what happened in this issue in just a few pages instead of 21 (yes i counted…) But overall i’m still liking red robin and will not let a slow issue stop me from enjoying the story.

  10. @convoy83 – I understand what you are saying.  I’m glad to hear you are enjoying the series.  I agree wholeheartedly that Tim is a first stringer.

  11. LOUD NOISES!!!

  12. READ THEM!

and as quick as he came, he was gone…

  13. oh yeah…KHAAAAAAAN!!!!!!!
