SDCC 2010: And the Final Universe in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions is…

Ultimate Spider-Man… in the symbiote suit?

It's not 1602 or Spider-Man: India, but the a twist on the Ultimate Universe that finally takes the final slot on the Shattered Dimensions roster. Gameplay in the Ultimate Universe will focus on straight-up brawling as Spider-Man unleashes all the tendril-to-hand combat you can stand. The fourth world also boasts a unique cell-shaded look to set it apart from the rest of the worlds.

A few new villains are confirmed in this trailer as well. Keep an eye out for Deadpool, Carnage, Juggernaut, and a mecha-version of Scorpion.

So there you have it, all four Spider-verses: Amazing, Noir, 2099, and Ultimate. Despite all the wishful thinking for some obscure iteration of Spider-Man, you know Activision had to work the black suit in there somehow. Honestly, I'm all for it, but I'd still love a Spider-Ham bonus level or two.

Comments

  1. Excited about the game and the visuals are pretty sweet….just a little confused why USM looks like the others and not a teen boy.

  2. Peter Porker has to show up! He just has to!

  3. Loved the Ultimate Spiderman video game but wished it was a tad bit longer.  I’m glad they are revisting the cell shaded universe.  I’m hoping there is some fun post story content because I haven’t heard anything about this game being open world.

  4. Meh. Seems too like Batman: Arkham Asylum. Need to see how it’s gonna stand out from that.

  5. Since when does he wear the black suit in the Ultimate universe?

  6. I was hoping for 1602

  7. @davidtobin – How would this game being "like Batman: Arkham Asylum" be a bad thing?  If it’s that good, everyone wins.

Love Ultimate Spidey, would have gone with 1602 Spidey.

  8. YES I AM IN THIS GAME :p  more deadpool please
