Gameinformer got the first hands-on with Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World video game from Ubisoft, which will be available as a download only on the Playstation network. It could come to 360 later, but the timeframe is unclear.
It's a 4-player brawler, just like it should be in classic video game style. You can play as Scott, Ramona, Kim Pine, or Stephen Stills so far, with the possibility to expand. The levels are the same as the different book volumes, so you can play your favorite trade volume, which is kind of awesome.
It's pretty clear fans of the book are going to LOVE playing this.
Look for it along with the movie release in August.

Girrrrl, this looks kinda River City Ransom ("he said the word!") to me. And I’m gonna eat it up with a spoon. Assuming it comes out for XBLA, of course.

Yeah, I think it’s more River City Ransom, but a brawler none-the-less. And @Mangaman, Anamanaguchi is doing the soundtrack for the game, which is still awesome.

It’s a shame this doesn’t have online multiplayer. Only local. I’ll still be purchasing this either way. Finally got around to reading the books and they’re a lot of fun. Going to be awesome watching the movie and playing the game come August. 🙂

Looks great. I was prob gonna pick it up for the PS3 anyway (can’t stand the crappy d-pad on the the 360 pad) and this looks like it’s gonna use the d-pad more than the stick.
So glad I bought the PS3!
Hopefully this game won’t suffer from the same issues Ubisoft’s TMNT4 port suffered from. Can’t really argue with who they got to do art and music though. Really looking forward to this.
