Project: Rooftop Does Spider-Man: Webhead 2.0 Contest

Project: Rooftop announced their latest contest, Spider-Man: Webhead 2.0, where entrants will take their shot at redesigning Steve Ditko's classic design for Spider-Man's costume. No mean feat to be sure. As with their previous contests, P:R invites artists to reimagine classic superhero costumes. It's for artists, and it was started by artists, and all in very good fun.

But that doesn't mean there aren't prizes to be had! Project: Rooftop has partnered with Joe Field and Flying Colors Comics to provide these prizes for the best of the entrants.

First Prize: The Spider-Man Diamond Select Maquette (retail value of $85) and a bagged copy of Ultimate Spider-Man #160.
Second Prize: Spider-Man Masterworks Vol. 5 Softcover (retail value of $25) and a bagged copy of Ultimate Spider-Man #160.
Third Prize: Spider-Man: Peter Parker Essential Vol. 3 (retail value of $18) and a bagged copy of Ultimate Spider-Man #160.

Check the contest guidelines if you wish to enter, then send your entries to as a .jpg, .png, or .gif file by August 8.

Oh, one more thing. Acting as special guest judges for this one? Myself, Ron, and Conor of this very website will be helping out the regular judges, and I'm really looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

Bring on the webs! Or whatever else you can come up with.

  1. I liked the last contest, although I wonder what type of redesign are we gonna get considering Marvel likes to redesign Spider-Man every other 6 months.

Also, I would be fine not getting a polybagged issue of #160, but that’s just me.
