Comments

  1. ’66 Chevelle

  2. Brightest Day #2
Dark Tower Gunslinger #1 (OF 5) [MAYBE]
    Gi Joe #18
Joe The Barbarian #5 (OF 8)
Justice League Of America (Brightest Day) #45 [MAYBE]
Superman War Of The Supermen #3 (OF 4)
Transformers Last Stand O/T Wreckers #5

  3. 18 books.. not bad. Looking forward to some of the new HA stuff. I may drop some of the books after the first week, but I’m curious now.  BD #2 is going to be the book that may break me of my desire to read more Brightest Day. #1 just didn’t do it for me.

BQ: Fictional car? The Delorean from Back to the Future or the General Lee.  Actual cars I’ve owned? My brand spanking new jet black Camaro.

  4. Nananananana-nanananananana-nananananana BATMAN! (Streets of Gotham Volume 1: Hush Money)

That’s all I’m buying this week, but I thought I’d make a big deal out of it.

    BQ: The Batmobile, of course.

  5. Great week for me. So many great books, both new and loved.

Avengers #1, Azrael #8, Brightest Day #2. Deadpool #23, and Joe the Barbarian #5

BQ: Hmm….I always liked that Ford car from the 1950’s that had a pool in the back. Wish I remembered what it was called.

  6. Whoa, too many books this week!  Something’s gotta give.  But I must get the Rescue (Pepper Potts) 1-shot, ATLAS #1, and the new trade of SCALPED.

    BQ: KITT.

  7. Most excited for: Scalped Vol. 6!!

BQ: While I love the car I have now given any car in the world I’d take a 1957 Porsche 356a Super Speedster, probably convertible but not necessarily, and also probably bright red, but maybe cream, with a racing stripe, of course. Swoon.  Look it up, you’ll feel cooler just seeing it. Like James Dean or something.

  8. I can’t wait to read the next American Vampire.

    American Vampire #3
    Avengers #1

    Batman Streets Of Gotham #12
    Brightest Day #2
    Deathlok #7 (OF 7)
    Gantz Tp Vol 10
    Invincible Iron Man #26
    Marvel 1602 Mgc #1
    Rescue #1
Scalped Tp Vol 06 The Gnawing

BQ: My favorite car is the talking robot car that comes standard with Megan Fox in the back seat.

  9. BQ: 1974 Karmann Ghia

  10. Oh, and ‘Girl Comics’.  *fail*  I must put in a plug for ‘Girl Comics.’  Loved the first one, such a great showcase for creators.

  11. BQ: My first car. 2001 Mustang, red.

  12. Another light-ass week for me

American Vampire is quickly becoming another fine example of why Vertigo is the best imprint in the industry, hands down.

My gut tells me  The Avengers is going to be a let-down. Hopefully I’m wrong

Haunt and Spirit are on my personal chopping block.

Dark Tower and Ultimate Avengers are the only other 2 books that I plan on getting and I would be surprised if either one gets less than a 4 rating.

BQ: Yo Mama. (I took her to the drive-in and she didn’t have to pay because I dressed her up to look just like a Chevrolet.)

  13. BQ: 1969 dodge charger

  14. Small week but really looking forward to American Vampire, Avengers and Brightest Day. Might pick up Rescue just because that is one smoking cover.

    BQ: 1967 Chevy Impala

Why? Cuz it’s the car the Winchesters drive on Supernatural. And I am a sucker for good old muscle cars.

  15. I’ll be grabbing Atomic Robo, Creepy Comics, Battlefields: Firefly, and War of the Supermen. I am curious about Age of Heroes and cautiously optimistic about Avengers.

BQ: Subaru Baja, the duckbilled platypus of cars.

  16. Quality is on the horizion this week – most looking forward to the Avengers/Heroic Age books, American Vampire, Creepy, DC Legacies, second-to-last Ex Machina, Iron Man, Hellblazer, the Origin of Marvel Comics book (I really dig these kind of things), Levitz on Superman/Batman, Zatanna and Walking Dead.

BQ: My first car, a 1986 gold Chevy Cavalier station wagon.

Which I was driving in 1997.

  17. Creepy (how you can be 3 months late on a quarterly anthology book I’ll never know), Jersey Gods (finale), Zatanna (#1!), Walking Dead #72 (so good!), and Brightest Day.

BQ: I keep it cool with a Lexus IS300.

  18. American Vampire #3
    Avengers #1
    Ex Machina #49
    Invincible Iron Man #26
    Joe the Barbarian #5
    Marvelous Land of Oz #6
    Ultimate Comics Avengers 2 #2
    Walking Dead #72
    X-Factor #205
    X-Men Legacy #236
    X-Men: Pixie Strikes Back #4

BQ: ’67 Impala from Supernatural. Or the Spider-Buggy.

  19. Conor has the pick and I finally think I can easily predict it.  "Brightest Day #2" or "Legion Of Superheroes #1."

  20. Big big week for me.

BQ: My first car, ’67 Mustang. It’s currently sitting in my parent’s garage, but I plan to fix it up soon and get it running again.

  21. Nice light week,  may even pick up what is on the "Don’t Miss" cast this week.

  22. Car? Truck for me! ’72 Chevy 4×4…….. With a 4 inch lift……………

  23. Or the General Lee! YEEEE HHHAAAAWWWWW!!!!!!!!

  24. Looking forward to most:  Avengers #1 (Bendis and Romita Jr.?  Done.).

Dropping:  Nothing in my regular list and the others are sporadic anyway.

What others should be buying:  Golly (for lovers of supernatural horror comedy).

Anything you’re thinking:  I can’t watch Andy McKee’s awesome "Drifting" video on YouTube without imagining it’s Conor during one of his shut in periods.

Favorite car of all time:  Duh, the Batmobile from the 1960s TV show (based on the 1954 Lincoln Futura concept car).  Baddest-ass. Car. Evar.

  25. Looking forward mostly to Avengers, Iron Man, Ex Mac and Zatanna.  Still getting Brightest day but not sure about it.  It’s probably good that it’s a lighter week than the last.

BQ: A tough question for me.  Maybe something small and classically European, like an Alfa Romeo Spider.  Right now, I’m happy with my Volswagen Golf, and basically I like the look of most German cars I’m afraid.

  26. Atomic Robo, Avengers, Enter the Heroic Age, Hellblazer, and the final issue of Jersey Gods.

BQ: I’m not really a car guy but if I had to choose a ride I’d say….Millenium Falcon.

  27. American Vampire #3

    BQ: Shelby Cobra

  28. Most looking forward to American Vampire #3 and Walking Dead #72.

    On the chopping block? X-Factor

    BQ: Aston Martin DB5

  29. Im not sold on JRJR doing the art for avengers… would have preferred someone like Lenil Francis Yu or another big name artist that is usually on time.

BQ- while i do love the 67 Impala, I have to go with a ’79 Trans Am. or a ’66 Corvette Stingray

  30. In this order: 1. I am hoping that Batman/Streets of Gotham will wash away that horrible taste I have since that last Batman and Robin issue. 2. I hope Walking Dead wows me, b/c I need some Kirkman hasn’t been moving me lately, and I miss the Kirkman "wow" and 3. I hope the next DV8 is as good as the last one.

BQ: Ronnie James Dio. Which, of course, is not a car, but if it were, it would have been awesome.

  31. BQ: Bob Carr the cross-dressing former premiere of New South Wales

  32. Heavy week for me. Nothing exciting though. I’m looking forward to Brightest Day and Walking Dead the most.

BQ: ’58 Corvette convertible. Blue with white accents. I have specific tastes.

  33. 0 books

    BQ: Prius

  34. Dropped Brightest Day and War of Supermen and maybe The Spirit as well. Not really looking forward to anything coming out this week. The Avengers Heroic Age sounds promising, but i’ll wait till i read some reviews.

  35. Avengers reboot has me pretty excited this week. Picking that up, along with Amazing Spidey and X-Factor.

BQ: Not really a car person. 57 Chevy maybe? or the Batmobile?

  36. I have another 14 book week.  Those two weeks of a few books was nice.

BQ:  Either a 1967 Shelbly Mustang GT500E or a any year Kharmann Ghia.  Is it weird that I would like two very different cars.

  37. Sweet week! I’m *insanely* excited for RESCUE and Iron Man! And the new Scalped trade! Holy crap, I love my pull list! *cheers and shakes like a fraggle*

BQ: 1965 Thunderbird, tenth anniversery edition. It was Duncan MacLeod’s car from Highlander: The Series. 🙂

  38. For the record, a Porsche 911, either from the 70’s, or today.

  39. I’ve always liked that Dave Carr. Cheeky Bastard.

    1920 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost.

  40. oh yeah the car. I only want cars that Bruce Wayne would own…

    A 1936 Cord 810 (yellow)

    or

A 1967 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale (i’ll take one of the 18 that were made thanks)

  41. @Josh: even your POW car is wrong. 🙂

  42. @Josh – Good pick.  Did you know that Porsche actually was one of the designers of the original VW Beetle?  Apparently you can fit some porsche parts in different volkswagens.  I read an article where a guy had dropped a boxster engine into a VW Beetle.  I believe he said that the beetle was never intended to go that fast, ever.

  43. HUGE week for me! I’m getting *deep breath* Galacta, Pixie Strikes Back, Haunt, Justice League, Zatanna, Hellblazer, Joe the Barbarian and the Codename Knockout trade eventually. That’s a lot of books for me, so I probably won’t get them all at once.

BQ: I honestly don’t even know how to drive, and cars hold no appeal to me whatsoever so I honestly don’t care enough to have a favorite. I guess my favorite car would be one that I actually fit inside without being all cramped since I’m such a big guy.

  44. 1992 Ford Taurus, obviously.

  45. Age Of Heroes #1 (OF 4)
    Avengers #1
    Brightest Day #2
Scalped Tp Vol 06 The Gnawing
    Ultimate Comics Avengers 2 #2

    BQ: Aston Martin DB5

  46. 77′ vette 300hb auto. Just got it friday.

  47. BQ: The one that gets me from point A to point B without breaking down.
