Joss Whedon and Brian K. Vaughan: A Conversation

Comic Book Resources and Dark Horse Comics have brought us a very entertaining conversation between two of the smartest and funniest people in comics — Joss Whedon and Brian K. Vaughan.

It’s a bit of a mutual admiration society, but as those things go, it’s a pretty entertaining one.

If you like to sit around and banter with your buddies and you consider yourself to be smart and funny… well, you’re probably not. Not many are; not compared to these two guys. I felt dumber and less sharp and less funny as I read this.

It was great to read these two guys geeking out over each other’s work and it’s especially amazing since Brian K. Vaughan is currently writing Joss Whedon’s baby, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Joss Whedon is currently writing Brian K. Vaughan’s (some)what baby Runaways.

I’d love to see these two guys collaborate. It doesn’t even have to be comics, it could be TV or film. Just get them together. Maybe they should host a radio show or a podcast? I’m sure they’ve got nothing better to do with their time.
