I’ll be honest. There’s not much to this, but here is the preview art for Jeff Smith’s new series coming out in 2008, Rasl. There’s not much information to go on, but there will be a 6 page preview comic available in San Diego next month. We’ll do our damnedest to get our hands on one.
It’s always a frightening prospect when an artist has to follow up a giant success. Looking at Terry Moore, or Jeff Smith, or anyone who’s had one breakaway hit, and imagining the pressure to recapture that magic is a daunting prospect. But, the theory should work that the artist learned from the first project, so the next project will be better. But that’s just the theory.

I recently read the Complete Bone. I must give credit to Ron who was the one that got me interested on it, and when I saw it on a bookstore here, which mey be a once in a life time opportunity, I bought it, no second thought.
I devoured it, I read it in less than a month (a busy month). Whatever Jeff Smith is doing in the future, I’m there.
