Last night we offered up a beautiful preview of this week's Jonah Hex #66 with art from Fiona Staples. We've got one more image to pass along, and it's sure to put a vulture feather in your stetson.
This July one of our favorite artists brings his magic to the old west in Jonah Hex #69. Here's a sneak peak from DC Comics.
That's right, it's the man from Ess-Hex County, Jeff Lemire!
A match made in H-E-double hockey sticks? Oh, yes. Yes, indeed. We've been daydreaming about this one for a while. Every issue of Hex is reason to raise a dusty glass, but this one is particularly exciting. Lemire went to town on Jonah's face. I'm actually getting a bit of a Guy Davis vibe from that mug. As for that buzzard? I bet his descendants circle the lonely highways of Lemire's Sweet Tooth. Gnarly little bugger.

Finally! Lemire is definitely suited to do an issue of Hex. I’d also like to see Jai Lee on an issue.
well that sounds really promising. Maybe i can get into this Western thing.
I don’t care if I’m 5-6 trades behind on the series, I will double dip for once in my comic life to buy this. Absolutely perfect team right here and hopefully this is one of MANY Hex issues they work on.
