It’s Cosplay Tuesday!

Came across this video on iFilm and it’s partly stupid but still pretty clever.

Warning: There are some mildly suggestive things in the beginning of the film, as you can see from the screen cap above. Just a heads up for kids and people at work.

I don’t know why, but I’m a big sucker for putting a bunch of superhero characters in absurd civilian situations. There are a ton of these fan-films out there and this is definitely one of the better made ones.

Oh, Cyclops.

Comments

  1. Saw this a WHILE ago, pretty old. Funny tho, especially the part at the end with kryptonite on pizza.

  2. haha, i’d watch it.

  3. I was gonna say fast times at sky high until the credits rolled.

  4. I also saw that a while ago and really enjoyed it, although my favorite fan film of all time is probably:

Grayson – “Former Boy Wonder, Dick Grayson, emerges from the shadows of retirement to avenge the murder of his legendary mentor.”

  5. Amazing. I actually laughed out loud at Daredevil. Handicapped humor is the best.

  6. I enjoyed that. Thanks for posting.

  7. Some friends of mine worked on a similar thing in high school called Mutant High. It just involved the X-Men. I played student teacher Magneto. I always had paperclips stuck to my face.

  8. Really impressive in recreating the pool scenes. What’d they do? Go find the original location?

I’m guessing they cast this outside their group of friends as well, or they have lots of really talented, attractive friends. Either that, or they’re “theater kids”. 😉

  9. Seen this and Grayson a long time ago but i liked watching again. one of my favorites was heroes which is here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6YQNdRP73Ao
and losing lois lane which is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRVVGTHbzeg

  10. Pretty damned funny if you ask me. I hadn’t seen those before, and they did a good job spoofing a lot of the characters. Daredevil was particularly funny only because it wasn’t expected. Good stuff.

  11. Loved it when I origianlly saw it. Good stuff.

  12. *originally

    Damn typos.

  13. It must be hard typing in those metal gauntlets.

  14. I agree with Chris, Losing Lois Lane is the best superhero fan film I’ve ever seen… so damn funny, especially the JLA poker scene where Robin’s being mean to Aquaman – “Shut it, guppy!”

  15. wow that was actually pretty funny!!!
The Grayson clip was great though, is that an actual indy film or just a clip?

  16. The Grayson clip was great though, is that an actual indy film or just a clip?

    That’s all there is.

  17. Wow guys, I would pay money to the filmmakers to make Grayson a full film. I mean DAMN! That was so cool man. That looks way better than any of the first 4 batman movies. Also, are there any full indy movies with the DC characters because I want to watch some.

  18. Also, are there any full indy movies with the DC characters because I want to watch some.

    No, that would be illegal.

  19. Ya that does sound pretty illegal.

I wish that we could get some more adult oriented comic cartoons, feature films like the 2 Hellboy ones.

  20. Bat in the Sun productions does some realy good batman short films one a film just on the joker in prison. http://www.batinthesun.com/ is there site which videos are down right now. And heres one of there vidioes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yq5RHUO6yLg

Hardy har har, Very Funny Graham Cracker (I say that with love.)

ANd I agree…. Bat in the SUn does great Joker stuff.

  23. funny stuff

    especially daredevil

  24. 2 things:

    1) that was really really funny
    2) at the end of the video – I got a thing saying you might also like these videos. One was called Stripper. I of course went ooh stripper and clicked on it. At around the 1:15 mark, she reveals her breasts and one of them is missing. It’s an ad for breast cancer awareness. I may be scarred.
