Holy Crap! Chuck Dixon Returns To ‘Robin’!

It was announced at the Baltimore Con this weekend that Chuck Dixon is the new regular writer on Robin.

I’m flabbergasted. Chuck Dixon was THE MAN in the Batuniverse for many years, writing Robin, Nightwing, Birds of Prey, Detective Comics, Batman, and just about every book taking place in Gotham in the early 1990s.

The last time I was really, really excited about the “sidekick” books (Adam Beechen on Robin excluded) was when Chuck Dixon wrote them. I miss him every month.

Wow.

  1. Niiiiice. I really liked that Chuck Dixon Robin trade you recommended to me a while back. This is great news!

  2. This is indeed awesome news….if he’d get back on Nightwing it would make me quite happy as well.

  3. Just so long as he keeps the steam from Beechen’s run, I’m all over it. I’m excited to see what he brings to the table.

  4. Beechen’s run was awesome. I just hope Dixon doesn’t turn out like Wolfman’s Nightwing. I’ll still buy the first run to make sure.

  5. Dixon was one of the few writers who not only made Robin a badass but added alot of depth to Tim Drake. I can’t wait to see him back. Also, Wolfman’s Nightwing is brilliant right now showing that older writers can still do great things with characters they haven’t written about in 10 to 20 years.

  6. Great, great news. I was at The Baltimore Con and the announcement was met with a lot of excitment. Also got to talk to Sean Mckeeer, and he is also The Man. Very excited about Teen Titans and their place in the DCU. good time to be a Robin fan.
