Great Moments in Comics History: Justice League of America #28

You’d think that an Amazonian princess slash superhero wouldn’t have the free time to put on an hourly Vegas-style show for passing cruise liners.

Comments

  1. She should take this show on the road!

  2. “Come and get me boys”

Doesn’t this kinda fly in the face of the whole Amazonian ideal? I wonder if her sisters know she does this. No wonder she’s the outcast.

  3. Is she reminding herself what she’s doing? Man, feminism.

  4. “and now I shall spin around this pole while hanging upside down…since men aren’t allowed on Paradise Island”

  5. Paradise Island Cruises must be a big thing.

    • Made twice as ridiculous by the fact that Themyscera exists in a type of cloaked pocket, and is invisible to the naked eye. These folks are just throwin’ their money away.

  6. Love these oldies. According the DC Wikia, after a “near disaster, the UN passes a temporary injunction banning the super-powered members of the Justice League from using their super powers.”

The cover shows the JLA protesting, union-style, outside the UN. Maybe this is the root of some people’s deep-seated distrust of the UN. “They took our super-powers!”

  7. This is quality, I dig super athletic tricks.

  8. That’s not exactly the kind of “show” I was hoping for, if you know what I mean (and I think you do!).
