Going to see INCEPTION this weekend? Read the prequel comic for free.

Super keen director Christopher Nolan's new film, Inception, is out this weekend. No one is quite sure what it's actually about, but just about everyone can agree that it looks trippy. Trippy in a good way, not trippy in a bad way. You know what I'm saying.

Are you the kind of person who wants to know more about the movie before you go in to see it? Well, you're in luck! There's a prequel comic to the movie called Inception: The Cobol Job and you can read it right now for free online. It's written by Jordan Goldberg with art by Long Vo, Joe Ng and Crystal Reid of UDON.

Click here to read the comic.

The cool thing? You can read the comic with Yahoo!'s somewhat weird viewer or you can just download the PDF and read it however you like it. Me, I'll be reading it on my iPad after I see the movie.

See, comic book companies? PDF version. You can read it anywhere. That's not so hard.

This reminds me quite a bit of the Star Trek prequel comic that IDW put out last summer to go along with the film. That was a good comic that bot stood on its own and enhanced the story of the film, depending on how you looked at it.

As long as the comics are well produced, I'm all for this prequel comic trend (if you can call it a trend).

  1. I haven’t been genuinely excited for a new film release for, I dunno, years now… but I can’t wait to see this.  And I don’t even know what it’s about.

Think I’ll do like you Conor – read this after I see the movie.  I’m going to go in there blind.
