Last night at Baltimore Comic-Con, The Harvey Awards were presented at what is always one of the biggest and best gatherings of comic book talent every year. The big winners of the night were Marvel Comics, DC Comics, and IDW Publishing who each received four awards, including two for Thor: The Mighty Avenger, two for Thor (it is good to be the Son of Odin!), and two for Darwyn Cooke’s second Parker book.

I’m pulling hard for Daytripper for Best Single Issue or Story. That’s a wonderful story.
And I am always pulling for Darwyn Cooke.
Sorry. That should be “I was pulling hard for Daytripper”. I’m looking forward to the edit button.
Really glad that both Landridge and Samnee won. Thor:The Mighty Avenger was an excellent series.
Glad to see Landridge and Samnee getting so much praise, because they really deserve it.
*Fingers crossed for a renewing of Thor: The Mighty Avenger*
*crosses fingers too*
Daytripper and American Vampire are two books I love, so well deserved. I really need to check out those Parker books. I’m waiting for that Martini edition, which should hopefully be released soon.
they really are fantastic
American Vampire – 2011 Eisner and Harvey Award Winner for Best New Series!! A well deserved feat!
Congrats to all, especially those creators who are active on this site as readers and posters. Nice to see Rocketeer got some love. I was pulling for Cullen Bunn for best writer.
I know the Eisner’s are the big awards in comics. Are the Harvey’s the 2nd most prestigious? I can’t keep track LOL.
But I am SUPER happy that Beasts of Burden won! I am IN LOVE with that book!
Pretty much, yes.
Whoever voted on these awards has good taste. Love seeing recognition for Thor: The Mighty Avenger and Blacksad.
Apparently Stan Lee was very funny while accepted his award last night. Shame we have no footage of it…
