I was thinking of picking this up, but my store didn’t order it, and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend the cash. So, patience is rewarded, and now you can read the first issue of Truth, Justin, and the American Way for free, online.
I’ll try to take some time this weekend and sit down and read this through. The idea of going through it on the computer monitor still doesn’t seem quite right.
Either way, this is a great way to get people to try your book out, risk free.

yeah i dig this series as well (meaning the first issue, ha), but did the second issue ever come out? because if it did my comic shop never got it.
I’m fairly certain it isn’t out yet.
I’m sure it’s not going to come as a surprise that I wasn’t really so into this. I liked the art enough, but I didn’t really find it all that clever or funny. I think stuff like this for me is OK in strip form, but that’s probably it. A full issue is too much. I’m not saying it’s bad, but it wasn’t for me.
It was okay. Not great but not terrible. There’s no doubt that Kurtz is a great artist. I understand what he’s trying to do (70/80s American TV homage), but I’m not sure if I’d buy it.
The cameos were kinda cute.
Is that the full issue? It felt kinda spare. Maybe something better read in trade.
EDIT – Whoops, Kurtz isn’t doing the art. Nevermind.
