This week, Josh talks to Paul Cornell just as his first DC work is about to hit the stands. Action Comics #890 marks Cornell's debut as a DC exclusive creator, on the legendary title. His first arc will focus not on the Man of Steel, but Lex Luthor, and we'll see how he makes us care about a pretty reprehensible bald man. With art by Pete Woods, we think it's safe to say DON'T MISS Action Comics #890.

Yay!
I’m liking Cornell’s take on Luthor. Cannot wait to get into this.
Definitely will not be missing this!
Love the idea of a Lex Luthor character study, and I think Paul’s got a great take on him from the sound of things (and that wonderful preview).
Does Cornell say whether he is going ‘wacky evil mad scientist Luthor’ or ‘Evil CEO Luthor’? Not that it matters, because I am getting it either way.
When Guggenheim was initially announced I wasn’t even remotely interested, but Cornell on the book was a total sell for me. The man can do no wrong…
I’m pretty sure post-War of the Superman, Lex is back to being Evil CEO–but still a mad scientist too–and the preview seems to bare this out. But how much of Lexcorp is actually left? Didn’t most of the company get liquidated a few years back?
I’m very excited about it. I really hope sometime down the future, Marvel would ask Paul Cornell to do a "Captain Britian and the Mi13 Forever" series. Fingers crossed.
Very nice choice of song!
Thank you! I was rather proud of it.
ohh…this sounds good, very good. Lex may just protect us from the sacarine we are going to be served up in supes. Mr.Cornell’s work was pleasently surprising in Capt.Britain. Gimme gimme !
I dropped Action awhile ago and glanced over the preview in the back of DC books of this. After the interview, I decided to pick this up and I also read the preview. I’m really looking forward to this now.
Hmm, I wonder who the unannounced baddies are. It’ll be fun to find out.
