I knew I should of waited…but those two reduce priced hardcovers became too tempting.
I bet it took Quintely two months to draw this.

That bit of cape between the legs is weird on my eyes. But everything else is teh awesome.

In general not a fan of the format (impossible to read, delicate, feels more like an art object than a book) but this just shot to the top of my pile of books to buy. I have issue 10 framed page by page hanging from my wall.

I’m sorry, I should keep stuff like this to myself. I’m sure it will be a big, beautiful collection. And admittedly, that is a great image for the cover. But I was enjoying the schadenfreude of watching fanboys suffer while DC deprived them of this gem.
I’ve got 2 beautiful hardcovers, and I’m cool with them.
I lent the first hardcover to a friend years ago and I’ve intentionally not asked after it in the hopes of this collection (never did get the second volume).
WOWWWWWWWWWW! I’ve got both hardcovers but this cover is NEARLY enough to make me want the absolute version. Morrison is responsible for keeping my love of Superman alive.
I already have the hardcovers, but that is a very gorgeous image. I may re-read these soon.

A few issues into this story, I just knew this had to be Absoluted. Between this, the Johns/Frank stories, What Ever Happened… and the ONLY A+ thing Millar has ever done (Red Son) my library feels complete of the only Superman stories I’ll ever care to read again. I’m dying to see the extras.

Incredible, evocative, mind blowing art!! Amazing in that it almost makes you feel an emotion when looking at it. Quitely brought his A-game on this one.
