1-2% of ‘Simpsons’ Fans will be Thrilled: Alan Moore To Appear

Alan Moore, known around the iFanboy offices as the greatest comic book writer of all time (yeah, we said it.), will appear in an episode of The Simpsons.

He’ll play something to do with a comic shop opening, in a joke that the same 1-2% of viewers will probably appreciate. I will say though, he doesn’t sound exactly like he looks.

Thanks to Fred for the tipoff.

I must say I was a little disappointed when I realized that he would only be doing voiceover, and not writing. That would have been something to get really excited about.

  1. Haha, Moore writing a Simpsons episode. I could see the kids crying all across America already. Although a Simpsons retcon is kinda in order…

  2. Moore writing a Simpsons episode
    Potential ideas:
    1. Homer takes Bart to his first prostitute
    2. Springfield residents form a cult to worship snowball
    3. Bart removes the head of jebediah springfield statue

  3. You really must check out the interview with him on YouTube(link above). Watch it all as he gets progressively more strange as it goes on. I was suprised. I’ve always heard that he’s a little wacky but after this I’m convinced he’s an out and out nutball. Or to paraphrase an obscure movie quote, it’s not even his tree.

  4. All I have to say is John Constantine better damn well be in the background.

  5. Yeah, bumming a smoke off of Selma and Patty.

  6. I never said he was the greatest of all time…sure he’s good…but of all time is a big assertion.

Although him on the Simpsons is freaking hysterical

  7. In slightly related news, but not quite deserving its own thread, there was this:
