May 17, 2012 1:48 pm I wonder how selfless those other Reeds really were - sure it was pointed out they gave up everything that defines a normal life - family, friends, etc. But Nazi-Reed obviously had no interest in that life. Can we assume that it maybe the same for many of the other Reeds? At what point would they have been no longer content "fixing" worlds, and eventually try to rule? They also obviously placed themselves far above any particular universe or world. They had no problem putting the 616 Earth at risk. For the Parliament of Dooms, I guess it remains to be seen if the "lobotomized" Dooms can be restored? Did they have portions of their brains removed for the Reeds to harvest? And if they can be restored - how many of them will be more altruistic or on the "hero" side of things. I can't see 616 Doom really turning the cheek. He is what he is - hellbent for more power and control.
May 17, 2012 11:39 am Thanos Quest is my jam. Whatever Hickman does next I would love if it had something to do with the Elders - as well as all the cosmic abstracts and gods that the Infinity Gauntlet introduced me to.
May 17, 2012 10:35 am Something else that this issue made me think about and realize - is how little the 616 Reed Richards really knew about his other-selves. If he knew the history of this Reed - would he have aligned himself with the Council of Reeds at all? Wouldn't he start to wonder about the other Reeds? Who knows what there real motivations were? Sure they seemed to be making positive changes - but they weren't above making decisions about others lives if they deemed it an obstacle. I think Doom would have been proud. Will the 616 Doom be the one to avenge all his other-selves? Man i don't want Hickman to ever leave this title.
May 16, 2012 11:35 pm Agree totally. I am looking forward to what Hickman does at Marvel next, but I will be bummed when he eventually leaves F4/FF. He has just been killing it. The only Marvel book(s) I am reading right now, and the super hero book I look forward to most.
May 16, 2012 10:37 pm This one left me wanting. Just didn't click with me.
May 16, 2012 9:36 pm Awesome! And its not exactly a What If story - its kinda sorta actually in continuity! I thought Choi did a job. The cover kinda sucks but the interiors look pretty good. But 5 start book for me just storywise. Very cool.
May 16, 2012 9:18 pm I think this is the best issue of the arc. A) I never once felt confused. There were times in the previous issues that I had to double check timestamps and wasn't entirely sure what might be happening in an action scene. B) I dug the art much more overall. Not a perfect 5 issue, but I gave it a solid 4.
May 14, 2012 1:25 pm The preview art looked great. Amy Reeder's issues turned out to be a disappointment art-wise, and the story has been bumpy, but still looking forward to this.
May 14, 2012 1:23 pm saw a bit of the preview - and I am now very interested to see where Hickman has this issue going.
May 8, 2012 12:51 pm I am a bit nervous that there is nowhere to go but down. But how can I not want to see a movie featuring my favorite Marvel character ever - Thanos? The Infinity Gauntlet = Marvel Comics for me as a kid. But I get the trepidation. But ya know what? I'm going to try and not being cynical - Avengers shouldn't have been as great as it was - yet it was. I say bring on round two!
