March 19, 2009 8:58 am Great review...and I am also a Ultimate Universe fan. I agree about the Hank Pym comments, his exit from the world was very consistent with his personality. And it was bad ass when we took down the blob.

This was a very good final issue, Madrox was very well written and it ended like it had too. With Wolverine getting the job done. I do think that the final issues though, the last 5 or so have seemed really fractured. There was a lot going on, with Rogue stealing everyones powers but that seemed to take step backwards in this final issue. Unless the moment when she is holding xavier means she took his power too!

This book was awesome! The art didn't do it for me during my first read through but having flipped through it now several times, I think the art is very good and fits the mood of the book. I think IDW is doing a very good job by putting a cohesive story together while still making the books feel different.

This book just got a whole lot better with G.I. Joe origins number 1. They are weaving a well crafted story that appears to be a good mix of fun and complex. Snake Eyes being the only one who knows what Cobra Commander looks like is a good move.

So far I am very happy with IDW's beginning

March 3, 2009 8:10 am how about marvel spends less money on reprinting this for new readers and more money on getting the rest of the series out in a timely manner.

Very excited to see the completion to this story. Hulk vs Wolverine, is an awesome match-up and it makes sense in the Ultimate Universe as to why this happened. Even if it is several years late. Still cool for me.  Wonder what will be next? Hulk fights for the cure for cancer? Hulk vs the housing crisis? Whatever they pit him against; when Jeff Leob gets ahold of it, it will bomb.

The best part about the ultimate universe was that they didn't do crossovers and instead ran mini-series events that were in continuity. Like Ultimate Nightmare, Ultimate Power, Ultimate War etc....... Why did they insist on doing this. The event already feels like it is dragging, because the main book Ultimatum is slow to come out.

Hopefully the event wraps up and makes the journey worth while. And more importantly, I hope that the post Ultimatum, Universe is likeable.

February 19, 2009 9:06 am Going to my shop today, hopefully they have this book in. If not IDW is getting one pissed off letter. I am not mad that they messed up the shipping a book, I am mad that they felt the need to mess up this book at its launch.  What a bone-head move to make!!!!
February 12, 2009 2:59 pm Cover was great, story was great and I like the art a lot too.  Dixon makes G.I. Joe feel like modern day military and that is super cool.
