X-O MANOWAR #1
May 1, 2012 6:23 am My most anticipated book of 2012! I have been waiting 20 years for this. haha
Heard in an interview w/ the guys from Valiant ... the new books will be available first only in Comic Shops then digitally later this year, and eventually day and date, but for now you'll have to run to your LCS to pick this gem up. This is gonna be epic!

New Comics for 02.08.2012 loved the Honda commercial
February 7, 2012 8:13 am Secret Avengers was digital last week ... you had to use the Marvel app though, and then you can download it to the other comixology apps ... stupid, I know., but I'm assuming this week it'll be available digitally as well.

SAVAGE DRAGON #178
January 31, 2012 3:27 pm Just started reading Savage Dragon this past week, started w/ issue 175. I haven't read this book since 1992, damn I should have never left! Issue 177 - w/ the zombified, radiated Osama Bin Laden had me in tears, hysterical!!! The cover to 178 is friggin' brilliant!

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #679
January 31, 2012 3:18 pm I jumped on w/ 678. My son and I are loving Ultimate Spiderman, and I can say we both are loving this as well. He's really excited to see what happens in this, and I can't disagree. Loved issue 678, thinking of downloading some of the digital collections Marvel just released of this series.

SECRET AVENGERS #21.1
January 25, 2012 2:34 pm what RoiVampire said ... I had to log into the Marvel app ... purchase there, then it's available in your comixology apps ... stupid, yes, but it is available digitally, just a round about way. Same thing happened w/ Scarlet Spider last week, had to purchase it in the Marvel app ... still not showing in the comixology app for sale. Very stupid and odd.

2011 – A Look Back
December 20, 2011 12:57 pm Indeed it was a great year. 2011 is the year I returned to comics after being away since the mid-90s. I haven't even thought about picking up a comic book until I found myself in the Local Comic Shop back in June looking for a gift for my son. The new Ultimate Comics series' from Marvel and the new52 from DC were a perfect storm of 'right place, right time.' I hopped in and haven't looked back. I've fully enjoyed Animal Man, and Swamp Thing. Two Stories I only picked up because my local shop had the no.1s of those two for only $1. They have both been excellent! I did not expect to enjoy these two as much as I thoroughly have! I picked up Ultimate X-Men, intrigued by the story, which led to me picking up Ultimates. This all started because I was looking for a trade to give my son as a gift. It took me all year to find the perfect book to share w/ my son ... all these Ultimate Comics stories led me to finally give the new Spiderman a try. My son and I have really enjoyed this story so far, and can't wait to see where this story goes. On a whim, I picked up Last of the Greats. I have never enjoyed a book as much as this monthly. Excellent story telling, and humor wrapped up in a nice dark package w/ some beautiful art. It's been a great year. Only problem has been there are far too many excellent books, and my budget is far too little. :)
