Truth or Dare: Will the Real Comic Book Sales Numbers Please Stand up?
May 17, 2012 9:24 am I doubt ICv2 numbers affect creators livelihoods. I'm sure companies, like Image, keep their own internal numbers of how many issues of a bok they ship out the door; which then translates into the check they write for a creator. I can't imagine creators or publishes get their own internal sales numbers from an outside company.

May 14, 2012 5:38 pm Haha thats true. Also based on Kelly's work on Local and the lengths he went to in that book to accurately recreate locales you would think this one would have a little more local character. The more I think about it the more I agree with you. Hopefully it'll increase in subsequent issues.

May 14, 2012 4:12 pm i think one of the reasons there hasn't been much local dialogue so far is that the main characters are pretty much all involved in politics in one way or another and a lot of politicians train local colloquialisms out of their speech patterns and vocabulary.

THE MANHATTAN PROJECTS #3
May 14, 2012 3:43 pm Does this series kind of remind anyone else of Planetary? The first bunch of issues seem like largely stand alone stories but as the series continues you realize you are reading a sci fi book about everything. Has that feel to me.

May 14, 2012 3:41 pm This is my second favorite new series this year. Saucer Country, this, then Saga. Although Conan is really starting to challenge for third place!
