On Jan 5, 2009 5:10 PMVery small week for me as well Detective Comics and the 2nd Hellboy: Wild Hunt issue. But there will be a cameo of Wolverine this week since my LCS didnt have it last week. BQ: Frank Miller really is a crazy SOB.

On Jan 5, 2009 11:45 AMThe Ode to the Beyonder article and mini podcast was the best thing this site did in 2008. No offense to anyone else who works their hardest on this site but....you just cant top that. I must've just joined when the Cable BOTM April Fool joke was on the site. That sounds really hilarious.

On Jan 5, 2009 10:50 AMI'm gald someone else is pointing out how medicore New Krypton is overall. I agree with mrmister on how even when we're on the penultimate issue for NK, it feels like nothing has been accomplished overall. Of course, like it's been advertised, that we need to pick up 5-6 Superman titles in order to get the true ending for New Krypton. I know you guys tell me that is always the case with comic...

On Jan 4, 2009 5:32 PMConor go watch the following 40's Noir films: High Sierra, The Maltese Falcon, CASABLANCA, Shadow of a Doubt; Murder, my Sweet (Farewell, My Lovely); Notorious, and The Third Man. Then go tell me again that this felt like a 40's Noir film. I'm sorry I know it's opinion and you have a right to say these things.....but if your gonna tell me something ridiculous like that you need to have some ...

On Jan 2, 2009 7:52 PMAnything that has original Alex Ross drawings should be a pick of the week for me.....But sadly Green Lantern was all too much awesome for this to be topped. This was a fantastic issue though and it was .00001 close to being my pick either way. That last panel with the old Superman looking at us, the reader, just gave me the shivers. Perfect way to end a great arc.

On Dec 31, 2008 3:03 PMWow…A little late there for the Sopranos parody arent ya? Everything you guys have talked about death in comics, immediately thinks Marvel dropped the ball for Wasp. Her death is not going to effect anyone but Hank Pym and it isn’t going to resonate with the entire Marvel U. All it did was just remind us how Bendis, just like with Hawkeye, haphazardly wrote the end of Secret Inv...

On Dec 30, 2008 9:00 AMMarvel Chronicles might be the first history book I like coming from DK. The presentation is astonding and even if it isnt a vault type of book that has relics from the past in it; it's a great book. Oh and Ron, is that the GLC trade with the Mongol storyline? Cause if it is: You got yourself one of the best (and probably most underrated) storyline of the year in that trade.
