February 20, 2012 3:04 pm I just finished reading Bone for the first time, and I'd totally throw in the Great Cow Race storyline as a con story. Foney Bone is a con artist through and through, and the whole caper has the stink of con scheme all over it...plus, it might coerce you to read the entire story. Go Grandma, go?
February 16, 2012 4:15 pm Where'd the Joker/Harley piece come from? Outside of the Azzarello/Bermejo "Joker" GN, I haven't seen anybody go for the Heath Ledger-stylized Joker. I'm a little grateful for that, allowing the Ledger style to exist on its own, but I really like the way that it looks on paper. Are there any other places where artists have recreated that cinematically-themed Joker?
May 23, 2011 5:17 pm Did this not already come out? Or was it released earlier to bookstores or something....because I bought a used copy of this HC from a Half Price Books over 2 weeks ago. Hurm..

Saw a snaek preview earlier this week, and I can't wait for the film to open so I can promote it with my wallet. I took a few friends who aren't comic readers with me, and they immediately went out and bought the first three books in the series.

While I don't think that this will be a film that does anything to bolster the reputation of movies rooted in graphic storytelling (I stand by Road to Perdition on that one), SP is kinetic and funny - I can't remember laughing nearly as hard in any of the other comedies I've seen this year. Wright's taken the property and created something with a ton of youthful energy, and as a result, I'm really hopeful that Scott Pilgrim will score big with teenagers (and grown-up 80's kids who owned Power Gloves, like me).

GREAT movie, a ton of fun, and totally suitable for a date or a night out with friends. I'm with Gabe though - don't think this will be a huge hit, but it'll pull its budget back in and then some.

July 6, 2010 4:51 pm Pulled all of my old single issues of Brubaker's Cap out of a longbox this weekend and celebrated Independence Day by remembering the run that made me a believer in Steve Rogers in the first place. I really hope that this mini recaptures the feel of those first 20 or so issues Brubaker and Epting did together - I love the modern-pulpy vibe they were able to create together, and Eaglesham is just such a fantastic artist..
April 12, 2010 4:27 pm I foolishly never even looked at any of the Johns/Manapaul issues of Adventure, but I was pretty stoked about this series when the announcement was made. Having seen the previews running for this issue in recent DC books though, I cannot WAIT to read this book! That art is gorgeous!
April 5, 2010 5:17 pm Further curiousity... is this an ongoing or a mini? I'm in either way, but I don't recall hearing what the format for this series was.
April 5, 2010 5:16 pm I love me some Hickman - hoping that this series has the same kinda of historical conspiracy vibe that he brought to Pax Romano. Is there any likelihood of him telling more stories out of that universe (or ever finishing Red Mass for Mars, for that matter)?
April 5, 2010 5:05 pm How many issues are left before the end of this "season"? I was beginning to worry I'd never see this book again... -sniff-
April 5, 2010 10:36 am My mind is officially blown. I was already pleased with the quality and frequency of the content here on iFanboy, and this announcement just blew the roof off. I couldn't be more pleased with this site and this community - LOVE all the additions you keep bringing to the the iFanboy family guys!
