Nightwing #1

Huge. Loved it all around. Truly Dick Grayson as Nightwing. I’ve thought the other Nightwing book hindered Dick Graysons character…

May 12, 2012 11:08 pm Great book, probably the best in the New 52. Synder and Capullo are taking Batman to places that are re-defining Bruce Wayne and Batman at the same time. So many times, companies and the titles, talk the talk about re-definition, but have very little follow through. "Night of the Owls" has me excited every single page, and the surprises keep coming like the suit at the end of issue #8 and the back story of the Wayne family.
May 12, 2012 11:02 pm I've been wondering where Geoff was taking the book the first few issues. At times, I was a bit skeptical, but this issue shows that even after the "Siniestro Corps War" and "Darkest Night", Geoff Johns is one of the top writers in the comic book business. I'm excited to see where "Secret of the Indigo Tribe" is going and what is next.
May 7, 2012 7:34 pm Loved the scene for so many reasons. It was a great end, classic Whedon, and a great play on one of Tony Stark's final lines in the movie.
April 19, 2012 8:01 pm Great advice!! EVERY single commision I've ever asked for has been for been for myself. I'm floored by the vendors and "other" people who stand in line to flip artwork on ebay. I recently had an awesome experience with Rebekah Issacs. She did a great Angel commision for me at Megacon and addressed the piece to me, and I enjoyed the conversation w/her on "Angel & Faith" along with the mythology of the characters and book. The whole reason for a con visit and a commision is the interaction w/you and the artist. David Finch did a piece for me and to be honest, the conversation w/him about comics, his work, the Avengers/Batman movie was just as amazing as the art. That's the truth, and I LOVE my David Finch piece. If you are a true fan and one that appreiciates the body of work from artists, writers, and inkers, express that, but don't geek out. They are people too, and want to be in the mix w/true fans of the books they work on. In the end, we are all in the same boat, and truly just want to enjoy the Con experience, which let's be honest, is "Legend, wait for it, -dary"!!
April 18, 2012 9:10 pm My favorite book hands down right now. It's fresh, great dialogue, and Jason Todd is the main character, but doesn't carry the book all himself. He represents everything about Batman, but at the same time, he is his own character atoning yet doing his own thing.
April 17, 2012 7:19 pm This book gets better every issue. I love Yost writing, and the art is great. One of my top 5 books right now
April 17, 2012 7:17 pm Jason Aaron had a great run on Wolverine. He understood Logan and Wolverine, and showed that throughout his run. I liked the script for this last issue, but the issue was a mess w/all the different artists. Steve Dillon took so much of the edge out of it, and his art was lacking.
April 15, 2012 9:43 am Loved this arc. Damian is just amazing. You hate him, you love him, but he came thru. Batman took it to the next level when Nobody threatened his son. You saw the darker side of Batman, and Damian did what he thought his father wouldn't. This issue was great b/c it was the resolution after the conflict, and it truly addressed their relationship throughout the issue, rather than make it a 2-3 page spot.
April 15, 2012 9:40 am Completely agree. It definitely is one of my fav books on my pull right now!
February 29, 2012 8:34 pm Great interview. Geoff, keep doing your thing. You have a vision and stick to it. Conor and Ron, great question. You hit on the three big things I was interested in the Hal/Siniestro dynamic, Aquaman, and Justice League
