Great Pages: NEXTWAVE: AGENTS OF H.A.T.E. #11
May 20, 2013 3:42 pm Frankenstein: Agent of SHADE. I thought of it because it's heavy on acronyms but is also somewhat similar in tone.

iFlashback! May 19th, 2004
May 20, 2013 3:37 pm The younger characters being sidelined seems to be an ongoing problem for the X-Men. There are always these young mutant characters with a lot of potential and then they get killed, maimed, and/or forgotten. I suppose it's just to be expected when you have different writers and creative directions coming and going. And the established characters sell more books.

James Robinson Leaves EARTH 2 and DC Comics?
May 17, 2013 8:54 pm Bummer. Was enjoying She-Hulk and thought it would last a bit longer. So yea, somebody keep hiring Parker. He is good.

James Robinson Leaves EARTH 2 and DC Comics?
May 17, 2013 8:41 pm I passed on Earth 2 because I thought the character re-designs completely missed the point. It sounds like Robinson made something great out of it anyway and it became the only new DC book I was considering catching up on. This sucks for all those who were enjoying it.
I continue to wonder when the pendulum will swing back in DC's favor. I recently dropped The Flash. It wasn't bad, it just got forgettable. Morrion's Batman and John's Green Lantern runs are about to end then I'm done with those titles. Of course, both of those runs have their roots pre-New 52. That will just leave Wonder Woman for me.
The only recent comic book thing DC announced that got me genuinely excited was Batman '66. Also Morrison's Wonder Woman. But that and Multiversity have been on the burner for a while now.

The Best of the Week in Panels – 05.08.2013
May 10, 2013 7:27 pm Looking at that Wolverine panel, it occurs to me the problem I have with movie Nick Fury is the lack of hair. No hair = no greyed temples. That plus the eye patch is the iconic Nick Fury look.
The movie used Ultimate Nick Fury which was straight-up Sam Jackson to begin with. Would've been sweet if they added some OG Nick Fury flavor and gave the Sam Jackson version some hair in the first place.

THE MOVEMENT #1
April 29, 2013 6:23 pm It's an incredibly slow week for me (only 2 books on the pull) so I'll give this a try. The concept only interests me slightly but at least DC is trying new stuff.

WORLDS’ FINEST #12
April 29, 2013 5:17 pm Nice to see that costume back. I'm wishfully thinking DC will start rolling all of the New 52 costumes back now.

C2E2 2013: After Two Decades, Peter David’s X-FACTOR Run Ends in September
April 28, 2013 7:06 pm I started reading comics regularly right when the current run of X-Factor started. It was one of the first books I tried. Overall it's been a great run with some exceptionally strong character work.
Sadly, I just dropped it last month. I found the hell lords story so uninteresting and opposite of what I like about the series that I dropped it instantly. I typically avoid buying comics I don't like out of habit or sentimentality but in this case I will probably make an exception and pick up the last few issues. At the very least the finale should be good.
