March 21, 2012 11:25 am Very nice, thanks for showcasing some of these artist. He'd be someone I would want to see more of.
March 16, 2012 9:10 pm I thought Miracleman #1 by Alan Moore was an amazing start to the series. It seemed very original and yet had a modern slant to super heroes. Concrete #1--another good origin story, and an atypical comic that's not so much super hero, but every man stories. Hellblazer #27--(Hold Me) by Gaiman & McKean Swamp Thing Annual #2? I believe that's the issue(Alan Moore era)--where Swamp Thing goes to hell to rescue Abby Superman Annual #11 (Alan Moore again)--For The Man Who Has Everything Xenozoic Tales #1--a great beginning to a new series Fantastic Four #120--The Horror That Walks On Air--the coming of Galactus
February 27, 2012 1:59 pm I thought it ended rather abruptly as well. Anyone care to comment on the last two pages--I didn't get what was going on with the soldier coming up below the window with an apparent bullet injury, and what transpired after, which just left me scratching my head. Can someone fill me in?
February 27, 2012 1:44 pm Re: Doomwad, I like the name--I agree though, it brings a joy to me somehow, and for that alone, it's worth keeping around for now until that changes.
February 27, 2012 1:41 pm Re: Ken: I think a iFanboy Marketplace is an proposal, it could even include DVDs.
February 27, 2012 1:37 pm I'm an impossible hoarder to some degree. I don't collect the monthly comics anymore, the price has keep me from doing that, and not having a venue to buy them (although I do now). I do pick up graphic novels from time to time. I haven't gone to an iPad yet. How does digital comics compare to the physical ones? If they were the same, I'd definitely still be picking up the physical ones--I just enjoy hold the actual books in hand. What do you do with digital old copies of comics you've already read, just delete them? What if you wanted to go back and re-examine a panel/cover or artwork or something. If you deleted them you could do that. Worse yet, I also collect movies DVDs, music, vinyl, and CDs, books and some magazines. Granted I have a better filter these days of what I would like to buy, and yes, storage does become an issue. But I enjoy collecting stuff, I guess it's my hobby.
February 27, 2012 1:30 pm Re: Conor let me know when the dumping occurs, postage is in the mail :) I understand those storage units are pricey, one ends up paying double for the stuff stored there, which is why I store at home. Yes, I'm a hoarder. Still I haven't yet found the right solution for me--it's an obsession or something.
February 26, 2012 3:44 pm I enjoyed the story & art as well. But I got lost in the last two or so pages after the Lost Boys introduced themselves, and the lone figure arrives outside the window where Peter is standing. Does the Brit solider get shot? Does Peter take the Germans captive? I thought that series of events wasn't handled very well as it eluded me.
February 23, 2012 11:35 am That Batman is scary, but I like the psychedelia feel to the 60's with the X-Factor.
February 23, 2012 11:32 am Yeah, it's amazing that FF has found it's way into being something, should I say, fantastic. But I agree, Hickman has played his grandiose storytelling well. It's been fun to see him bring out a lot of the old FF nemesis and characters from their long line of mythos. I think what he's doing is painting a scale equivalent to say, Green Lantern Corp or a Secret Wars all within the FF universe. Pretty cool stuff.
